The Leie Region bureau of tourism and Festor events agency asked Beeldjutters to generate buzz around the region in the winter, by presenting a projection on a water screen. Beeldjutters created a story about the lively character of the Leie region, in a projection that appeals to the imagination of both young and old.
In Eau Revoir you see images inspired by the soothing nature and the vibrant life in the cities. From rippling water and fluttering plants, beautiful insects and miraculous fish, to people playing, dancing together and raising a glass. Culture and nature come together magically. Eau Revoir is a colourful show that reminds the viewer of the connection between humans and their environment.
Eau Revoir was shown at four locations in the Leie region, three evenings per location. It was a successful activation. Thousands of people visited the free viewings and every evening the quays were packed with people. This resulted in a lot of attention from the press and many positive reactions, photos and videos on social media.
Above is a small compilation. This was filmed on a very windy day, so you’ll see the impact of the wind on the water screen as well.
