Waterfall

A diptych about decadence, alienation and melancholy.

Occasionally a male and female figure appear out of two enormous waterfalls. They could have walked out of the film ‘La Grande Bellezza’. They’re classic characters. Their gazes cross but never actually reach one and other.

By request of Jazz Maastricht, Beeldjutters created a diptych on the walls of the foyer in the Theatre aan de Vrijthof. The decadent and classic architecture of the building shaped the inspiration for the video-projections that were shown during the TEFAF art fair.
