Commissioned by I Care Producties, Beeldjutters created a light show on the facade of Paleis Soestdijk. It was the official kick-off of the annual lantern campaign of the KWF Cancer Foundation. In anticipation of the end of the action, when thousands of lanterns light up in a large heart shape in the palace garden, well-known and unknown Dutch people lit the first lanterns. The location chosen is no coincidence: 70 years ago, Queen Wilhelmina was the name giver of the Queen Wilhelmina Foundation (KWF).
To reinforce this important press moment for the KWF, Beeldjutters designed an emotional show. We created a script and storyboard with personal and moving stories about sadness, fear, hope and joy. We filmed and animated silhouettes to depict the anecdotes. With projection mapping, music and light across the full width of the palace, the stories then came to life, while the main characters from these stories were standing live on the platform in front of the palace. The kick-off of the campaign received attention from regional and national press.
