Climate Week Heemskerk

A water show on the pond behind Heemskerk Town Hall, as part of the National Climate Week.

In the pond behind Heemskerk Town Hall, spectacular 3D images appeared to float in the air, accompanied by music and colourful light projections. With a touch of humour and a cinematic soundtrack, the show was accessible to all ages and performed multiple times each evening. The show was created on commission of the Municipality of Heemskerk.

The show tells a story in three scenes. The first depicts a world full of pollution: waste drifting through the universe, an earth on fire. The second scene shifts: wind turbines dance, green spreads, the earth breathes again.

The third is a hopeful vision, a sequence in which nature and humanity become one.

The town hall itself was woven into the performance: its facade as backdrop, the public space as stage. Accessible to everyone in Heemskerk, without barriers. A tribute to our planet and a call to care for a livable future.
