For Water Authority Amstel, Gooi en Vecht, visibility is not a side note. Public support and awareness are essential to do the work the Netherlands depends on. Creative agency The Gardeners asked Beeldjutters to bring the annual Dyke Poem to a wide audience in an unexpected way.

The poem, written by Willem de Bruin, former rapper of The Opposites, was projected onto a water screen above the Amstel river. Free to see for everyone, in the middle of public space.

Beeldjutters translated the poem into an animation suited for projection on water. Text, movement and timing were calibrated for an unusual canvas, in a place where the Amstel itself forms the stage.
